Kathleen F. Maxwell Obituary
Kathleen F. Maxwell, 88, of Elizabethtown, formerly of West Chester, died Tuesday morning, February 13, 2007 at ManorCare Health Services in Elizabethtown, PA, following an 18 month illness.
Born in East Marlborough Twp., Chester County, she was the daughter of the late R. Warden and Ella Payne Ferguson.
She was the wife of the late Cloyd B. Maxwell, who died in 1993.
A homemaker, Mrs. Maxwell attended the Penecostal Church of God and, more recently, Grace Chapel both in Elizabethtown. Before moving to Elizabethtown, she was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in West Chester and attended the Full Gospel Church of Kennett Square. She graduated in 1937 from the former Kennett Consolidated High School. She was employed as an office worker by Embreeville (PA) State Hospital.
She is survived by three daughters, Beverly K., wife of the late Keith A. Gill of Elizabethtown, Tina A. Smith of Hummelstown, and Sandra L., wife of Alfred R. Tester of Coatesville; a son, Cloyd B., II, husband of Kimberly Evans Maxwell of Coatesville; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at Grace Chapel, 2535 Colebrook Road, Elizabethtown, PA on Saturday morning, February 17, 2007 at 9:30 a.m., with Pastor Mel Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m., until the time of the service.
